Projects We Support
In addition to running the Global Cool campaign, Global Cool Foundation has raised funds for two other climate change projects (N.B. we do not run these programmes). They are:
Project Genie is a programme that tackles climate change through children. Global Cool Foundation has raised funds from The Funding Network to enable Project Genie to develop its business model and bring Project Genie to every school in the London Borough of Sutton.
Solar Power in Africa
Global Cool Foundation has partnered with Vodafone UK to raise funds to bring solar power to rural communities in Zambia. This work is delivered by Solar Aid – a separate UK-registered charity – under a grant from GCF. Not only does this bring light to homes and community centres – and therefore opportunities to study, work and socialise after dark – but it also creates jobs.
Global Cool is proud to work with these two fantastic charities, both of which compliment the work done by the Global Cool campaign.
